WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP

The Health Care Council of Orange County, Orange County’s Area Health Education Center (AHEC) has been a voice for improved access to better health care for all Orange County residents for 21 years.  In addition to advocacy, the Council has developed a number of successful programs to support nursing education, to reduce the number of uninsured children, to provide home visits for fragile older adults and persons with disabilities and it is the fiscal intermediary for the Orange County Immunization Coalition. Currently the Council is experiencing difficulty in securing the grants and donations which have sustained operations for the last two decades. Our Academic partner, UCI, has set up a Health Care Council archive at the UCI library, where students may find the records we have accumulated useful for health research. We continue to strive to keep the Health Care Council and this Newsletter alive, and your tax-free donations would be greatly appreciated!
